Strategic Procurement works with many hardware and software vendors, and our line card is filled with niche and emerging vendors that enable resellers to take ordinary orders and build them out to accomplish some incredible and strategic feats for their customers. Many of the vendors we work with have smaller scale marketing budgets and may need time to ramp up to some marketing activities they’ve identified to help them grow, and some jump right in and take advantage of the added momentum marketing and business development can offer their teams.

 

Whether marketing options are deployed now or tagged for future efforts, TD SYNNEX has a full suite of marketing options to accomplish just about anything a vendor would include as part of their go-to-market strategy. Some of the vendors we work with have found marketing and other Strat Pro offerings as effective vehicles to boost sales of products and build awareness within the sales and reseller community that TDSYNNEX works tirelessly to cultivate within the distribution ecosystem.

 

One such vendor the Strategic Procurement hardware team has worked with closely for many years is Black Box. Jeff Taylor, Black Box Corporation‘s Distribution Channel Account Manager, took a few moments recently to share some thoughts about their relationship with Strat Pro. “I have either worked for or with distribution for over 24 years.  As a Distribution Channel Account Manager one key person I deal with daily is the Business Development Funded Head (BD). The TD SYNNEX dedicated BD is a critical part of the vendor’s business, providing real time information and data on quotes, special pricing, orders, shipments, and tracking. My BD knows the TD SYNNEX system inside and out and is always available and very responsive to my requests and questions.  In addition to being a resource for the latter, the TD SYNNEX BD works closely with the TD SYNNEX inside, field, and technical representatives to bridge the gap with the vendor executives, account manager, field account managers and technical teams.” And subsequently through the Product Manager and Business Development Representative’s strategic efforts, Black Box has seen their business grow.

 

And Vinci Brands Incipio and Griffin lines are also represented on the Strat Pro line card and have achieved greater sales success through additional marketing and business development efforts. John Dewey, Director of Sales, says “having a Business Development manager has been essential to keep the business growing with [TD]SYNNEX. Having a dedicated asset speaking your brands language has keep us top of mind with the reseller and internal sales teams at [TD]SYNNEX.”

 

As partners and vendor advocates, Strat Pro is on a forward mission to build awareness and increase sales holistically for our vendors and we come alongside and work within a vendor’s go-to-market strategy framework. And as we promote, we simultaneously work with resellers and sales teams to help them build the most effective solutions possible, often with our products as add-ons and accessories for their customer orders. Strat Pro is a powerful tool for both vendor and reseller partners alike, with many vendors achieving greater sales and levels of success through marketing and business development efforts.
