A Better Avaya Experience for all Partners — The Partner Community Council
Run by Avaya partners, the Avaya Partner Community Council (PCC) is always looking for ways to improve the Avaya experience for all partners. In early June, the Westcon NA team attended the PCC event in Chicago to learn more about how PCC can benefit Westcon partners.
The PCC has several active task forces that meeting monthly and include the Avaya product managers and subject matter experts related to the topic. i.e., Cloud, Contact Center, SME, UC Core and more.

MSQT Renewal Decommissioned
As of June 1, you’re no longer be able to quote any renewals using MSQT. From June 1 to September 30, 2019, Avaya will support clearing the order pipeline of existing MSQT quotes. No new quotes will be accepted.
- MSQT quotes created prior to June 1, 2019 will expire on September 30, 2019.
- All copied quotes will be restricted to a September 30, 2019 Quote Validity Date, the last order date.

A1S Configurator: Adjustment to Manual Co-Term Start Date
All indirect support, per Avaya policy, should start on the first of the month and only the first. Previously A1S Configurator (A1SC) users had the ability to select start dates (e.g. mid-month) and this caused invoice issues. As a result, starting in May, the following changes took place:
- Limit the start date selection for indirect to only allow the selection of the first of the month.
- Based on new or upgrade/expansion, A1SC will determine if it’s the first of the next month or first of the second month based on current co-term start date policy and logic/rules already in place (e.g. no changes to co-term validation).
- Existing quotes won’t be affected by this change. However, if a quote is modified by a user, the system start date default rules will be applied, potentially overriding a co-term date previously input by a user. The user will notice a start date has been applied to their quote in A1SC and in A1S reports, but won’t receive any specific messaging when the new date is applied.

New ‘Containerized Model’ Available for UCaaS Powered By IP Office
Not every model of Avaya Cloud solutions is available through distribution. The Containerized version is targeting implementations of less than 400 seats with fewer features. Unlike the virtualized version of Powered by Avaya which is hosted by Partners, the containerized version is hosted by Avaya in the Google Cloud. Partners will place orders for Powered by Avaya IP Office services on behalf of their customers through Avaya One Source Cloud and will be billed by Avaya One Source Cloud monthly in arrears.
