Need: Customer having compatibility issues between storage devices and outages. Customer realized that his/her current software versions were outdated and they were missing out on critical updates.
Solution: Provided software support for a North American natural foods distributor on its Dell Equal Logic Storage. Our support services include assistance with firmware upgrades, troubleshooting of problematic storage devices, and assistance with dump and crash analysis.
Results: Unscheduled downtime reduced and storage devices brought back into supported versions.
Need: Client looking to remove underutilized servers and implement a SAN solution.
Solution: Provide VMware vSphere implementation. Setup and configuration of Dell hosts, Equal Logic SAN, and five juniper EX4200 switches.
Results: Data center footprint reduced and robust storage network deployed replacing the use of server storage.
Need: Client wished to migrate to Microsoft Active Directory but didn’t have the budget to complete a manual migration.
Solution: STG performed the delivery and migration of client’s existing Novell framework to Microsoft’s Active Directory, Windows Server utilizing the Quest NDS Migration tool. Client needed to modernize its email client to enable smartphone use.
Results: Quest NDS tool enabled costs savings and a flawless execution of Novell-to-Microsoft migration.
Need: Client wanted to upgrade existing server OS, and Active Directory Identity Services to 2013 to take advantage of security and messaging features in the latest version.
Solution: STG assessed client’s existing environment and made the recommendation to migrate their existing AD from 2003 to 2013. Once AD migration was complete, STG began repurposing existing hardware and creating new installations of Windows 2013 server and creating virtualized server instances of Windows 2013 for underutilized server.
Results: Client was able to secure their new environment and the upgraded environment was able to support the implementation of clients’ other top IT priorities.
