How to Set Your Preferred Warehouse and Shipping Method

April 2, 2022 by Tom Carswell

Preferred Warehouse:

If you select a preferred warehouse (under Account > General: Preferences: Preferred Warehouse) our system will check that warehouse first for inventory and for quoting shipping.

So it’s a good idea to select the warehouse closest to you.
That way, as long as there is inventory, you’ll see the best shipping price.

Preferred Shipping Method:

If you select a preferred shipping method (under Account > General: Preferences: Preferred Ship Method) our system will automatically select it when you’re checking out (as long as that method delivers to the Ship To location you enter).

Administrators: how to unlock a user

February 14, 2014 by Tom Carswell

If a user at your company has an ECExpress login, their account will be locked after 5 unsuccessful login attempts.

Here’s what happens and what to do to unlock that user:
After the user attempts to log into ECExpress, they will see a red text message on the login page stating their account has been locked and that they need to contact their ECE Administrator to unlock it.
If you’re the administrator:
  1. Log into ECExpress
  2. Go to Account > User Administration
  3. Find the locked user (‘Locked’ appears beside their name in the Login Failures column)
  4. Select the user and click the ‘Unlock’ button
  5. Pop-up window will ask “Are you sure?”
  6. Click OK in the pop-up window
  7. The User is now unlocked
  8. Tell the user to try logging in again
  9. User goes to login page and can try their old password, but they should choose the reset password option, since the password(s) they tried previously locked their account
  10. User gets email from EC Support with a link asking them to reset their password
  11. Clicking the link takes the user to a page where they enter their new password twice
  12. Once done successfully, the user is now logged into ECExpress.
