It’s been said that education is the cornerstone of society—and we couldn’t agree more. That’s why we offer several learning programs designed to foster the personal and professional growth of our associates, their families, and the next generation of professionals across the world. We have a broad array of learning initiatives geared towards our associates, women, children and young adults.
Associates
At SYNNEX, we believe learning never stops. That’s why we take steps to ensure that our associates are continually motivated, inspired, and equipped with the most current skillsets and learning opportunities. Through online, cloud-based training and on-site courses, we help our associates gain critical on-the-job skills and hone their leadership and management abilities.

Women
To support women in the IT industry, SYNNEX is involved in a variety of associations and industry programs. We are proud to be associated with Women in the Channel, an organization that helps female leaders in the IT channel support and mentor each other.
In 2011, we also established SYNNEX F2F—which stands for Friend-to-Friend, Female-to-Female, and Face-to-Face. This community (available in the U.S. and Canada) aims to unite women in the IT industry through the promotion of professional education and personal growth. It is built on the premise that learning never stops and that the entire IT industry is stronger when our members are enriched.
Because SYNNEX F2F recognizes that education is key to personal and career growth, we provide members with the information they need to access relevant learning opportunities and achieve their career goals. We also offer a formal mentoring program that connects members based on their individual or subject competencies, resulting in synergistic relationships that foster career-changing opportunities. Children and Young Adults
The future is brightest when children and young adults are able to grow, learn, and thrive in a nurturing environment—which is why SYNNEX participates in a number of child and youth-focused initiatives. For instance, SYNNEX is a strong supporter of FIRST Robotics, a registered charity that seeks to inspire young people in the U.S. and Canada to pursue careers in science, technology, and engineering, primarily through the running of robotics competitions.
In addition to being a major sponsor of FIRST Canada, many of our associates also volunteer their time as competition judges, mentors and coaches. SYNNEX is also proud sponsors of FIRST Teams in California, South Carolina and Ontario, Canada.
In addition to these initiatives, we provide students with hands-on experience through various internship programs across North America. Our Toronto office, for example, partners with leading educational institutions and hosts up to five interns each summer. In our Greenville, South Carolina office, the Discovery Rep program hires graduates from select universities and gives them the opportunity to complete three- to six-month job rotations to learn the various aspects of our business before settling into their full-time roles.
The Huang Leadership Development Scholarship was created by SYNNEX founder Bob Huang and his wife Lily to reflect the power of education and help young people achieve their dreams. It provides $10,000 USD annually to individuals that excel academically, contribute to their community, and are driven to make a difference. The scholarship fund was created to inspire SYNNEX associates, their legal dependents, and grandchildren, and help foster the leaders of tomorrow. Visit the website.
